How the RAC looks after your data

We'll obtain information from and/or exchange it with other organisations. For example, the DVLA and Credit Reference Agencies. This helps us validate your details in order to give you a quote and administer your policies.
Who we act for and when
RAC Financial Services Limited is an insurance intermediary that represents you and the insurer. We act on your behalf when arranging and administering your policy. For example, for policy adjustments, cancellations and renewals. We act on behalf of your insurer when validating the information you provided in the quotation process when taking out or renewing a policy, receiving claim notifications, and in the event that your insurer requests that your policy be cancelled or voided.
If you would like to pay by monthly instalments, credit will be offered (if available). RACFS Limited offer credit from a single lender, Premium Credit Limited (registered in England and Wales No 02015200, registered address: Ermyn House, Ermyn Way, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 8UX), in most cases. We may receive a commission for introducing you to Premium Credit Limited. Alternative credit may be available from Aviva however it won't cover the total cost of your insurance and will require a higher deposit upfront. If you choose to pay monthly via the Aviva credit agreement, the status of your quotation search will be updated to reflect your credit application, and this will be visible to other lenders and companies.

How we make our money
Our insurance price includes our Insurance Intermediary Services Fees which vary by product, plus any commission or minus any commission discount, applied by us. Details are available on request.
How we set your price
Your insurance price is calculated by 'Us'. This includes the cost of your cover from the underwriter selected from our panel and our Insurance Intermediary Services Fee for the intermediary services we provide in arranging, servicing and renewing Your RAC Insurance.
